Under the patronage of the president of LIU his excellency Mr. Abdul Rahim Mourad in collaboration with the “Takween” Association, the Fine Arts and Design Department at the Lebanese International University hosted Art Week 2017.
Art Week 2017 Exhibition included the work of 48 local and international artists in addition to various art activities and lectures.
Lecture by Prof. Attilio De Gasperis titled: “Jacopo Tintoretto” Torsion, Tension, and Drama in the Painting of Renaissance. Lecture by Artist Hassan Jouni titled: “Contemporary Art in Lebanon: Limitations and Difficulties.”
Two major workshops took place during the Art Week 2017; “Patchwork” by artist Suzanne Chakaroune and “Recycling the Ephemerality of the Image” by artist Tarek Mourad.
