Khaldoun Chaya

Instructor

Having lived across the globe — Middle East, Russia, Brazil, Italy, France and Canada to name a few— and with 30 years of Architecture and Interior Design experience, Khaldoun Chaya’s multicultural world-view has lead him to design projects in various countries. A graduate of Architecture from L’École Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris with a specialization in Project Management from L’École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Montreal, Khaldoun Chaya’s fields of interests range from Architecture, Interior design, Hotel and Touristic developments, Residential as well as Public and Commercial buildings some of which include: Al Chahba Sham Hotel in Aleppo, Journey’s End Hotel in Montreal, The Mirador Hotel in Khaldeh, Lebanon, The Bahia Beach club in Morocco (first prize winner), the Syrian Parliament building (first prize winner), The El-Badr Hospital in Casablanca, as well as countless luxury residential projects.

With a keen passion for sharing his wealth of knowledge in the humanities, Khaldoun was naturally lead to instructing his first university-level class back in 1994 at College Inter-Dec in Montreal for over 10 years, later moving to Beirut where he would teach at the Lebanese International University. Interior Design, History of Architecture and Furniture, Art Fundamentals, Materials and Techniques are among some of the classes that he has taught throughout his lengthy career.
